Some LOs to share

Sorry about being MIA for a while but time just flew on by without me noticing!

Anyway just a quick post today since there's sun sun and more sun to absorb on this fantastic Saturday!

First up is an LO using the new paper line from Tim Holtz 'Crowded Attic' as my background. I've cut out some frames from Webster's Pages Life's Portrait paper line (which I have been hoarding) and some rub ons from Basic Grey's Curio (which I absolutely love love love!). I've finally stamped some chandeliers from a My Mind's Eye stamp set.

The 2nd LO I have here uses Webster's Pages as the background with more cut out frames and a dress form. I've added some flat white pearls to make it look like a necklace. Butterflies are from the BG Curio line again. Other embellishments include some paper roses, Prima bling and a vintage looking clock charm from a necklace I got at Primark!

I finally busted open my Echo Park 'Life is good' collection pack. It's not essentially my usual colour palette but I do like to take a different approach from time to time. Plus the picture was of me and my cousins so it really shouted girly to me. LOL

That's all I have for you today! I've made some cards and probably will make some more soon so I'll post about that soon! Enjoy the weekend everyone!

7gypsies

My altered artist tray is finally DONE!

This project set me back a week because I wanted the right embellishments, the right photos, the right mood, everything and when I saw that Tim Holtz glass vials were already here I did not hesitate to grab them! I've been looking for such vials here and in Brunei but no such luck so imagine my giddiness when I finally had my hands on them! The tiny light bulbs are fab too!

Anyway, on to pictures!

Used foam stickers to raise up some elements and red adhesive tape which you can find here.

Altering this tray didn't take too long - the cutting and measuring were actually kind of therapeutic and it was exciting to see it come along nicely. After all the fussy cutting all you needed to do was embellish and voila!

The 7gypsies tray is available in different sizes but this one appealed to me because of the odd sized windows. I used some 7gypsies stickers, Maya Road calender bingo numbers and symbols and a lot of Tim Holtz's Idea-ology range.

Hope you like it! And if you do have an artist tray don't hesitate to have a go! It's so much fun if you're looking for an alternative craft outlet other than cardmaking or scrapbooking! However, saying that I'm now in the mood to create layouts, layouts and oh layouts!

Till then happy Sunday! (or what's left of it!)

News

I have great news!

A while ago I thought I'd go 'audition' for some design teams as there were a couple of ads for it on UKS. So to keep it short, I did. I tried out for two design teams and wasn't really expecting anything but I was pleasantly (ok fine, more like OMG OMG OMG) surprised when I got an email asking me to actually JOIN one!! *LOL*

Ladies and *if any* gentlemen! I am now part of the Creative Craft World design team!

There are many talented ladies there and I suggest visiting their blogs - I've listed them on the left. I am honoured to be joining them and also a bit curious as what I'm going to do when it comes to cards. I haven't been an avid card maker but with this team, we do have card challenges so it's going to be interesting.

I'll be starting my DT work in April but in the mean time, do have a browse at their lovely shop (they have some fantabulous stuff including Echo Park's For the record that I must get soon!) and also have a go at either their card challenge or scrapbooking challenges here.

My sincerest thanks to Lou for choosing me to become a part of your team - can't wait to start on the upcoming projects!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone!

P/s - I'm hoping to finish my altered artist tray soon because I think I'm having layout withdrawal syndrome now but can't start since previous project not done! Erks!! Wish me luck! Will share once I'm done!
