Card share

I used to think that buying 6x6 paper pads would be okay. Err apparently not if you don't use them much! LOL So in the spirit of stash busting, I've been making some more cards. Especially with papers I don't usually use on layouts.

Here's two I made yesterday which I quite like! So girly!

(Papers - My Mind's Eye, Sentiment and die set - My Favorite Things, Pearls - Papermania, Doily - Creative Craft World)

(Papers - Dear Lizzy Neapolitan (AmCrafts), Sentiment - Lawn Fawn, Hearts stamp - SJ Little Musings)

It's been raining for the past week. The rain reminds me so much of home especially when there's thunder but I think I've had enough! C'mon Mr Sun come out come out wherever you are! Well he did show his face for about a minute or two today so I'm thankful for that.

Hope it's sunny where you are!

Ribbon Reel sketch challenge

Hello,

It's been quite a while since I joined any card/scrapbook challenges. Anyway for Ribbon reel's sketch challenge, here's what I made with some delicious Basic Grey 'Sweet Threads' paper line. I love the happy, girly colours here. Not my usual palette in layouts but love to use them in cards
.
See you again soon!

Cards

I've never actually been in the card making business because I'm usually scrapbooking. However, being in my new DT there are card challenges and I do love a challenge. My scrapping friends back home have also set for a cardmaking challenge to break away from our usual LOs.

I was skeptical that I'd succeed or even venture much into cards but boy am I so wrong! Once I started I was hooked! It didn't start easy though LOL especially when I attempted paper piecing some cupcakes! I felt it took me forever! But once I was over the hill I was rolling along just fine (teehee!)

Now on to pictures! (Don't be harsh, I'm new to this =D)

Love my Anyas! Still have to practice using my promarkers though

Love my Penny Black hedgehogs! Used my distress inks to colour the four hedgies above.

I love easel cards and can't wait to make more!

I'm keen on trying out more card styles! I've also found out that card making allows me to use more of the stamps I've been collecting so that's definitely a plus for me!

Before I leave, here's a LO I did some time ago but forgot to share. It's a LO of me and my dad way back when I was a little girl. I finally used my October Afternoon's Thrift Shop and Fly a Kite papers for this and this photo suited it perfectly!

See you soon!
